Honda Formula 4-Stroke Powerboats 2009 caused some ripples this weekend morning, pitching 6 powerboats racing against one another.
These 225hp power boats rocking up and down with only a fraction of the boat hull in contact with the water. It was a scenic track surrounded by the lighthouse, large vessels out in the sea and curious spectators on the promenade.
I was expecting more speed and sound from the event, however I might have set my expectation unrealistically high. I could put the finger on the movie industry for that I suppose hahaha...
There were many spectators who gathered by the pier side, enjoying the warm rays of the sun and taking in the rumbling sound of the engine while the powerboat roared past their very eyes.

Actually, the boat in the background of the second photo is more power than the one in the foreground??
